Taoism is based upon Internal Chi Quong, which consists of three categories.
The first one includes those exercises designed to teach a correct posture and the most convenient way to sit, lie, walk and work.
Thousands of years ago, some Chinese sages observed three notable animals for their longevity and pointed out those behaviours looking responsible for this longevity.
The three basic exercises are:
- The Exercise of the Deer
- The Exercise of the Crane
- The Exercise of the Turtle
